Sometimes our guests capture what makes a stay at Landloft Linum so special in their own unique way – far better than we ever could.
After a summer weekend, we found this entry in our guestbook – complete with cows, a stork, a frog and, of course, the natural swimming pool. A little illustrated holiday diary showing wonderfully clearly what children discover here in Linum.
Discovering nature rather than ticking off an itinerary
All around the Landloft, the landscape begins virtually on the doorstep. Field tracks lead through the Rhinluch, storks are a familiar sight in the village throughout summer, and with a little luck, many other bird species can be observed right from the grounds.
For children, this simply means: stepping outside, watching, exploring. And sometimes, cows, storks and frogs end up mattering far more than anything one could ever have planned for a holiday.
The natural pool – a favourite spot on warm days
In Louis’s drawing, it takes up almost an entire page: our natural swimming pool. Completely chlorine-free, it blends harmoniously into the garden. And yes – the frogs have discovered it too.
Especially for families, the pool becomes one of those places in summer where a planned excursion quickly turns into a delightfully relaxed day spent at home.
And what does it feel like for children?
We prefer to let our younger guests speak for themselves. In their guestbook entry, they write about lovely walks, cows, the cosy apartment, and the view from the balcony.
Yet we find the drawings even more delightful. Because when a few days in Linum result in an entire page filled with animals, flowers, water and frogs, it is clear that something truly memorable has taken root.
Is Landloft Linum suitable for families with children?
Yes. Children can explore the nature surrounding Linum directly from the Landloft. In summer, the chlorine-free natural pool is a particular highlight. Field tracks begin right on the doorstep, and storks, frogs, and countless bird species can be observed in the surrounding countryside.
A short break from Berlin
Linum lies in the Brandenburg Havelland, north of Berlin, nestled in a landscape of meadows, waterways and expansive skies. Landloft Linum is therefore an ideal base for families seeking a few days in nature without wishing to overplan every moment.
The natural pool, sauna and countryside are right outside the door – and sometimes the loveliest holiday plan of all is simply looking out each morning to see what the day outside has in store.
Our heartfelt thanks to our guests, both young and old, for this wonderful entry in our guestbook.
